The rising actor talks about Beautiful Boy

He is one of the visible faces of a generation that stomps. With only 22 years old, Timothée Chalamet knew how to become a true phenomenon and he leaves his mark wherever he goes.

In this way, he conquered the audience with his performance in Call Me By Your Name, and now he is under the spotlight again for Beautiful Boy.

Based on a true event

The film adapts the biographical novel by David Sheff, played by Steve Carell, on the hard experience with his addicted son, embodied by Chamelet. "For me it was an honor and, above all, extremely important to tell this story, as many people are affected by this type of addiction these days," said the actor starring the film directed by the Belgian Felix Van Groeningen.  

"I already had an extraordinary idea of ​​the kind of person Nic was because of how it is described in [the book] Beautiful Boy," Chamelet said on his character, a student whose promising future is truncated by methamphetamine.

"And, when you meet him, you can see the bright machinery that works in his mind. I was very relieved to talk to him about the movie. He is super generous and understanding", said the artist who promises not to go unnoticed in the next awards season.
