Álvaro Morte was born on February 23, 1975, in Cadiz, Spain. He studied drama at a very young age and in 2012 he created the theater company 300 Pistolas, where he directed plays, specifically inspired by classic books.

Some of his most important roles were in series such as Bandolera, Amar es para siempre, and El secreto de Puente Viejo. However, he achieved international recognition after starring in Money Heist, which earned him nominations for his outstanding performance. After this, Álvaro Morte wanted to face new challenges and he participated in the series The Wheel of Time along with Rosamund Pike (7 Days in Entebbe), and Peter Franzén.

One of his latest projects is Immaculate, a film that follows Cecilia, a fervently devout nun who ventures to a remote convent in the Italian countryside in search of spiritual consecration. However, what initially promised to be a spiritual encounter turns into a dark and terrifying nightmare. As she explores the corridors and hidden corners of the convent, Cecilia discovers sinister secrets and unspeakable horrors that defy all logic and reason.
