Now Playing: Hard Hit

You can still enjoy the Korean film at the movies

Several weeks after its release in Latin American theaters, Hard Hit is still in theaters with great success. The film follows a bank manager called Sung-gyu (JO Woo Jin) who is on his way to work with his two children when he receives a call from a private number. The caller states that Sung-gyu is sitting on a bomb and warns him that as soon as he stands up, the bomb will explode. It is a desperate story where the protagonist is at a crossroads: he cannot end the mysterious call but at the same time he must protect the lives of his children.

Kim Changju, who made his directorial debut in this intense chase film, focused mainly on highlighting the protagonists' expressions, emotions, and fear in each scene. In this way, the film transmits feelings that go beyond the big screen and generates a positive reaction in the audience.

This intense and unpredictable thriller, which is a remake of Retribution - directed by Dani de la Torre-, is composed of three points of view: Sunggyu's; his children, who are in the back seat; and the people chasing him. Each perspective generates even more tension in this great visual story about how an ordinary urban setting is transformed into a horror scene.

Don't wait any longer! Go to your nearest movie theater and enjoy this wonderful thriller.
