The nominees for the 79th edition of the Golden Globes were announced on Monday. It is a wonderful moment that kicks off the great awards season 2022.
Here are the highlights:
All bets were right, the talented Kristen Stewart (Lizzie, Still Alice) received a nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role as Lady Di in the film Spencer. The film directed by Pablo Larraín (Jackie) tells the story of Princess Diana's last vacation at Sandringham Estate before her separation from Prince Charles of Wales.
One of the big surprises was the acknowledgment of CODA. The remake of the French feature film The Belier Family tells the story of Ruby (Emilia Jones), the daughter of deaf parents who discovers, with the help of her choir teacher, that she has a beautiful passion for music. Troy Kotsur received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture and the film is in the Best Picture Drama category.
