Toronto International Film Festival

From September 9 to 18

Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 9 to 18 this year. The 46th edition will feature more than 100 titles in its Official Selection and will be an in-person and digital edition. Joana Vicente, executive director of the event said that the festival would once again have its digital platform to bring films closer to members of the press and executives. There will also be press conferences and other events held under the same modality. "We believe that digital access is an important part of providing accessibility to audiences and will be vital to the future of film festivals. This inclusivity across all our offerings helps to ensure that, no matter where you are located, you can participate in the festival.”

Among the announced line up of titles, Spencer, the new film by renowned Chilean director Pablo Larraín (Jackie, Neruda), stands out starring Kristen Stewart as the world famous Princess Diana. What is the film about? It will be about a specific period in the life of the princess: when she decides that her marriage to Prince Charles must end.

The Hollywood industry usually uses this Festival -and others- as the first key platform for the premiere of a film to promote its communication and diffusion, especially when the films are considered as potential award winners. And Spencer is no exception! It will undoubtedly be a film that will give a lot to talk about and will leave the public speechless.

It will be released in theaters in November in the United States and we hope to have news in the coming weeks about the release dates in Latin America.

Stay tuned!
