Juliet, naked: an irresistible romantic comedy

Statements by director Jesse Peretz about his upcoming film

Jesse Peretz, director of Juliet, naked, shared his opinion about his new film. Find out more about a love and music story that will be a success in theaters.

In dialogue with the press, the director remembers the making of this new project where Rose Byrne and Ethan Hawke give life to a relationship, at first strange, but that probably changes their lives.

"I clung to this unusual story. Annie (Byrne) has spent 15 years in a love triangle with her boyfriend Duncan (Chris O'Dowd) and the lonely former rock star, whom he adores in the distance, Tucker Crowe (Hawke)," says Peretz.

And he adds: "But when she writes a review about a recent release of the demos of the album Tucker Crowe released 25 years ago, she stimulates a relationship with the artist himself." That is the beginning of the plot. But there is one more aspect for which the director could not refuse to participate in the direction of the film, and it was music. Always present in his life, (an interesting fact: Peretz was the first bassist of the punk band of the 80s, Lemonheads): "The fact that there was some music fan almost mad at the center of the story made me even more excited to see him on the screen," he ended enthusiastically.
