Being part of the life of a boy or girl is the greatest desire of the UglyDolls, those stuffed toys called "ugly", and who star in the next animated film that will adapt the popular line of toys for theaters.
Under the direction of filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, these extremely audacious dolls will seek much more than the anonymous life offered by the boundaries of their home, Uglyville.
Making dreams come true
Moxy, the main character of the film, drags the rest of her friends to join The Doll Academy, the institution where the dolls compete to be the most perfect one.
If they win the contest, they can hit the jackpot: graduate from the World of Children that leads each doll in the world to the child to whom they are destined, as a sort of soul mate.
Could it be that if they discover their Ugly manners they will be able to pass the strict tests of the Doll Academy?
Something is certain: the Perfect Dolls, the dolls that were born beautiful, will do anything to stop their opponents.
But, happy and strange, the UglyDolls must show that they are as worthy to receive love from children as any other perfect doll.
