Traveling with Diamond: Hard Hit

Let’s visit some places from the film

We continue with this section of Traveling with Diamond to know different cities that star in our films. We recently went to Mount Fuji and Japan with The Forest, and today we grab our bags and head to Busan, the main location of one of this year's release, Hard Hit. The film follows our protagonist, who starts his daily routine as usual, but he receives an anonymous call while driving his car with his children informing him that there is a bomb under his car. He will have to save his life and the lives of his children if he wants to avoid fatal consequences.

Directed by Kim Changju, the film was shot in every corner of Haeundae in Busan and you can enjoy the sea through the incredible visual shots.

Where is Busan? The city, previously known as Pusan, is one of the six metropolitan cities that make up South Korea, and one of the main attractions is the beach. The weather is milder than in other areas of South Korea, making it a major national tourist destination. But another characteristic of the city is that it is surrounded by mountains, therefore, hiking is a very common activity. Beaches, mountains, and urbanism are some of the things that can be seen during the film.

The best moments of the chase sequence were filmed in Busan. It is a relentless chase reminiscent of expensive Hollywood action movies and the crew had to collaborate with the Haeundae police and the citizens to achieve this. Moreover, all scenes were filmed on location, so there was a lot of preparation beforehand to avoid any inconvenience: they placed cameras in vehicles to capture all the angles of Sunggyu and used drones for the aerial shots of Busan.

Hard Hit, the remake of Retribution by Dani de la Torre, will be in theaters this year in Latin America.

Stay tuned for more trips!
