How Morena Baccarin explained what Covid is to her kids

A challenge for adults and children

The world is on pause due the Covid-19 pandemic. Many people are daily looking for ways to stay active and busy to counteract some of the negative effects of the social distancing.

Hollywood actress Morena Baccarin, who is the mother of 2 children aged 7 and 4, said that as a family they were forced to adapt to this situation. One of the great challenges was explaining to such young children what is happening in the world. “We try to create an environment where they feel safe expressing their fears and anxieties. It is important that they don´t keep them to themselves," she says. She also states that they have a great imagination and can spend hours playing and having fun with each other as long as they feel content.

On the other hand, it seems like a good time to continue reinforcing some values regarding showing solidarity with other people who do not have the same resources. “I have taught them the power to give back. So, we recycle toys and clothes they no longer wear so that we can donate them to people who are not as fortunate as we are.”

A warrior in real life and in fiction

We will soon see this outstanding actress in Greenland, a film where she will have to face different challenges from those of the current pandemic, although of an incredible and greater magnitude, when a meteorite is about to crash into the Earth and they must seek shelter with her husband (Gerard Butler) and their child.
