Along the way, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren, a former union soldier turned bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix, a Southern renegade who claims to be the town's new sheriff. Lost in the fog, they seek shelter in a haberdashery but when they arrive they are greeted not by the owner but by four unfamiliar faces. When the storm overtakes the haberdashery, the eight travelers are no longer sure they can make it to Red Rock.
