A woman willing to do anything

What the critics say about Official Secrets, starring Keira Knightley

The powerful drama Official Secrets starring Keira Knightley continues earning high praise from the specialized critics.

"It is difficult not to be moved by the unique passion of a woman who effectively dismantled her own life, not only to save her conscience but to save, as she saw it, the soul of a nation," Leah Greenblatt wrote in Entertainment Weekly.

The review by this film critic authorized voice refers to the story of a British intelligence service worker who tried to unmask the government maneuvers carried out to justify the war against Iraq.

In this sense, she emphasizes that director Gavin Hood "does a moving but occasionally didactic work by reminding us why telling the truth to the power, even at the highest personal cost, still matters."

A plot based on true events

A Mandarin translator of the British government leaks information on how the government of her country, at the service of its major ally, the United States, blackmails the smaller nations to force a UN resolution in favor of the war against Iraq.

The decision of a patriotic woman who will put her own life between a rock and a hard place.

 An unmissable drama!
