This 2019 will witness one of the great releases of this season, the film adaptation of Alvin Schwartz's books: Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.
The film is produced by Mexican director Guillermo Del Toro, who also took care of writing the story with Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman.
The direction was in charge of André Øvredal, who already stood out within the horror genre with The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016).
The plot of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark
The film will tell how a group of teenagers must solve the mystery surrounding several horrible deaths in their small town. The cast was already announced, and the chosen ones are: young actress Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Austin Abrams, Gabriel Rush, Austin Zajur, Javier Botet and Natalie Ganzhorn.
One of the characteristics of the books was always the incredible illustrations by Stephen Gammell. To bring tranquility to the fans, the producer of the film Guillermo Del Toro assured that the cinematographic creatures will be fairly faithful to Gammell's drawings.
