Woody Harrelson, a versatile person

Based on true events, the film recreates the battle between Japanese and Americans known as the Battle of Midway, in the middle of World War II. Harrelson embodies Admiral Nimitz, a recognized American commander in chief of the Allied forces.

"He was a guy who, when he became the head of the Pacific Fleet, was in a terrible state after Pearl Harbor," says Harrelson about his character.

“Admiral Nimitz was a relentless, hardworking guy who made very important decisions in that contest,” says Harrelson about the man known for his leadership skills on war submarines. And he adds: "I think his legacy is that he was an integral part for the victory in World War II."

With a cast full of renown faces such as Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson or Luke Evans, Midway exposes the complexities of a group of men whose actions impacted the course of world history.
