The unique universe shown in the drama series now comes to the big screen with the movie The Cursed, which follows the main characters as they try to stop a series of murders caused by resurrected corpses known as Jaechaui. In other words, this is a new original version of what we know as zombies.
Set three years after the events of the series, this time the body of a murder suspect is found next to the victim at the crime scene. However, the suspect turns out to be the corpse of a person who died three months earlier; therefore, a police investigation is carried out. Meanwhile, investigative journalist LIM Jin-hee receives a call from a listener while she’s on a radio program. The caller claims to be behind the mysterious murder and asks Jin-hee to interview him on live camera. During the program, he warns that there will be three more murders, which will be committed by resurrected corpses.
Directed by KIM Yong Wan and written by YEON Sang Ho, the film delves into a concept not previously addressed in Korean films: Jaechaui or Jaechaui's army, also known as a zombie army, which can be controlled by a person. The Cursed invites you to solve the big question: who is behind all this and why?
