Let's meet Gaby Hoffmann

She is part of the cast of C'mon C'mon

Gaby Hoffman stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix (Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot) and Woody Norman in Mike Mills' new film C'mon C'mon. Hoffmann will play Viv, Jesse’s mother (Norman) and sister of Johnny (Phoenix), who must take care of his husband as he suffers from a mental illness, and therefore must leave her son in charge of her brother. Johnny, a journalist, and Jesse will then embark on a journey through the United States interviewing different kids and asking them how they see the future of the world.

Who is Gaby Hoffmann? The American actress was born on January 8, 1982 in New York and she is best known for her participation in the movie Sleepless in Seattle, where she starred alongside Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, and in the series Transparent and Girls. These two projects earned her Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Guest Artist in a Comedy Series in 2015 and 2016.

She is the daughter of actress and writer Janet Susan Mary Hoffmann and the television actor Anthony Herrera. Gaby attended school in Manhattan, then moved with her mother to Los Angeles in 1994 and continued her studies at the Buckley School. She graduated from Calabasas High School in 1999 and then entered Bard College in New York to pursue a degree in literature and writing. By that time, she had acting jobs and student obligations that made her leave temporarily her artistic career in 2001 to finish her studies, but she eventually graduated in 2004. Her thesis? A documentary film!

She is definitely an excellent actress, whose great potential we will see shine on the big screen with C'mon C'mon. Watch the trailer here. There is still no confirmed release date in Latin American theaters, but more news is expected in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned!
