CODA stands for Child of Deaf Adults and this is the main plot of the exciting movie directed by Sian Heder and starring Eugenio Derbez, Marlee Matlin, Emilia Jones, alongside a great cast. The film is a remake of the French movie The Belier Family and it revolves around Ruby (Jones), a teenager who lives with her parents and brother and is the only hearing member of the family. Ruby helps with the family fishing business and is her family's interpreter, but one day she decides to join the high school choir and discovers her passion for singing. Encouraged by her teacher (Derbez), she explores this universe and considers studying music. But to achieve her dream, she will have to decide between singing and her family.
