Where am I going?

"Where am I going?" tells the story of Checco (Zalone), a guy who seems to have it all: he wanted to live with his parents and avoid a costly independence and he succeeded, he wanted to be eternally engaged without ever facing the responsibilities of a marriage and children and he did it.  But above all he always dreamed of a secure job and he managed to get the best possible one: a steady job as a civil servant in the provincial hunting and fishing department. Checco’s life seems utterly perfect, until one day everything changes.

Due to cuts in government budget, Checco is summoned to the ministry by the ruthless Dr Sironi and faced with a difficult choice: leave his beloved secure job or be transferred away from home. For Checco his job is sacred and in order to keep it he accepts the transfer. To put him in a position to resign, Sironi sends him wondering around different Italian posts to cover the most unlikely and dangerous roles. Yet Checco heroically resists.
